WTF is with the high build number. 9600 is the next build that follows servicing guidelines, so if they artificially increment now they have no choice but to go to build 10000 for RTM otherwise they will break servicing.
6.3.9599.101? what a high jump of builds! our preview build may be already compiled...(like Windows 8 Dev Preview 6.2.8102.101)
Actually this is a list of available win8.1 pre-release build numbers, and it is clear win8.1 is targeted to RTM on build 9600(not a pre-release build any more), the interesting thing is why these updates should pop-up.
I got it today with e-mail from Technet send out from them server at 4am (Thai time). Maybe on 3. it were not the same article and just had the same title. I didn't read that from 3.!
