I wonder if the other indexes in the WIM contain different SKU's. Like is there a Pro with Bing? I still don't understand the point of this either way.
oh oh, don't get me started, the point of all this is for ms to shove something else down our throats, onedrive so tightly integrated in 8.1 and now this, good god
This is purely my speculation, maybe it's something with not a lot of features that will be given away free, with the hope you will want to use the Add Features wizard and pay money for a better edition. Dang, my high speed internet at home is on the fritz today. Whoever gets it installed first let us know what it is, okay?
The Bing SKU is internally referred to as "Connected". Internally, Microsoft has used the "connected" terminology to refer to always-connected devices. These are devices that are not shut down and that retain their connections even during standby. I.e., phones and tablets. So if that holds, then this Bing SKU might be intended for tablets. Second, keep in mind that the tablet market is very cutthroat and the margins are razor-thin, because they have to compete with Android (Google does charge a fee for access to the Play Store, so it's not free, but it's still a lot cheaper for the OEMs). So if Microsoft were to help the OEMs out by releasing a cheaper Windows SKU for the tablet market, it will need to compensate by doing something like this. I personally doubt that we'll see this on desktops/notebooks.
Thanks -- I don't see anything to do with Bing in this build, apart from the name, there's not even any bing apps installed that I can see
What impressions about IE? In one of WZOR picks I saw IE version is 11.0.7. How much html5 points it scores?
