No, I didn't use the /resetbase - command yet, should I ? There seem to be no issues so far and I will have so or so to do another clean-install one day. I created a restore-point before I installed the updates this time. But I installed "MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.2014.UPDATE.X64.ONLY.MSU.9600.16610.WINBLUE_S14.140201-1007-WZT" and uninstalled KB2919355-x64 after I had some BSOD's. I couldn't un-install KB2919442-x64. That is, why you see that KB2919442-x64 got installed on the 16.03.2014 and the rest today.
I suspect that the old 2919442 is probably the cause of the 2919355 failure. There's probably some file that didn't get updated when using newer versions. It's probably also the reason my daughter's computer wouldn't update. edit: I'm not sure there's any sort of cure for this. If the proper updating procedure doesn't overwrite the proper files, you'd have to do things manually by like copy/pasting over existing files and editing database entries... In short, I think you're queued up for a re-install session.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 RTM Version Number Revealed softpedia news It appears that Windows 8.1 Update 1 build number 9600.17031 is the RTM package
While I have not encountered any major issues with the update, one thing is not working: My Logitech Nano VX wireless mouse has stopped working. The receiver, when plugged into the USB3 ports (it's USB3 only) of my laptop, it's not recognised at all - no sound, no message. It's as if it wasn't there. Has anyone had similar problems and found a solution?
If paul's answer doesn't work for you, you might try finding a proper usb3 driver for your chipset. My AMD system on an ASUS board uses an asmedia 1042 chip and the default xHCI driver for USB3 in Win8.x functions as if it were usb2. I suspect there are other issues as well with the default usb3 driver. Just tossing it out there.
Why people try to quote Softpedia in MDL? If it's in Softpedia, it is either : A. nth hand news(n is ususally>3), or B. total crap
Hi all, My friend leaves in 4 days, I'm supposed to reinstall windows on her pc, do you think it's any use waiting for the updated msdn ISO or we sure won't get them until april?... thanks and happy waiting
Yes, you won't get them till April. Install Windows 8.1 RTM and strightaway go for 17031 leaked updates.! You're good to go....
17031 contains all previous rollups, just install RTM and the leaks, after that check Windows update for any updates that weren't included.

This release is the best you could find on the net, because: * NO tweaks or add-ons. * NO additional programs and software added. * NO graphics, scripts and wallpapers added or changed. * NO Windows 8 Settings were harmed in the making of this ISO. and also plz tell me it is lattest or ny lattest windows 8.1 and how can i add mediacenter in it and office 2013 plz newbe my respectable sennior members .
Already tested and proved by many here, you can install the Rollups before (had them installed on my main machine), then install the spring update. I also tested in my Auditmode machines (Pro and Core) with a clean RTM install of 8.1; then only installed the Spring Update and went to Win Update, only two new Updates showed up from last Patch Tuesday and .NET and Defender related stuff. Conclusion: No need to install anything besides the Spring Update .
