Microsoft has made changes Ring0 Calls involving malfunction of the third-party antivirus. Freezes occurring between each 10 to 30 seconds. The antivirus update needed ... Possibly happen with third-party anti-malware tolos.
interesting, I use spybot search and destroy 1.62, malwarebytes antimalware pro and avast. I wonder if any other those are causing the freezing?
it happens with Windows Defender as well, when it freezes charms bar doesn't appear any longer and if I want to get to start screen i have to press the win physical button on keyboard. This is annoying, maybe it'll be fixed with other updates in april
I have 8.1 updated to 8.1.1 and I have Bitdefender Antivirus 2014 installed and so far not 1 problem, in fact its running better then before
Spring 2014 update was a fairly hefty overhaul. It will take a/v companies time to make sure everything is working appropriately. I'm sure they will release new versions when the update hits General Avail status Win Defender works just fine in the meantime if you want to uninstall the a/v for a while. or you could uninstall the update, but that seems like even more of a PITA
Hello, often when I right click to open Internet Explorer 11 to open a second web page (Internet explorer desktop mode), I do not have an answer (I mean where nothing happens it's like Freeze) I have Windows 8.1 Update 1 Build 17031 Can you help me ? Thanks
I installed the updates from the download: Windows8.1.1_RTM_MSU_x64_BAV0 on a Windows 8.1 VM (en_windows_8_1_x64_dvd_2707217) installation and afterwords only had about 10 updates via WU.
Sorry for off-topic but... How I should do it? 1. Install W. 8.1 RTM 2. Install Drivers 3. Install W. 8.1 Spring Update or 1. Install W. 8.1 RTM 2. Install W. 8.1 Spring Update 3. Install Drivers
Both will do. BTW, I suggest 2nd one, because normally when you update to Update 1, default drivers will be replaced.
OFF TOPIC, but I hope I help someone and solve his/her problem... If Music/VLC app keeps turning down volume at like 20% when you minimize it do this: Win+S -> Search for "change audio card settings" -> There, in Communications tab choose: When Windows detects communication activities... [✓] Do Nothing Restart and done.
A general rule of thumb I do is to always update the base OS first, then handle drivers, then install programs, then set everything up, and finally, tweak some settings.
Will Microsoft release new iso image that integrated the Spring updates ? Or only can get the updates from Windows Update or self-integrate ? Anyone have answer ?
