DISCUSSION: Windows 8.1 Spring 2014 Update RTM

355 KB is not big at all, but 355 MB is.

 

Is this pending error by design?

 

Wasn't talking about the size, but about windows8.1-kb2919355-x64.msu .

Not sure, normally this updates needs reboot to implement all changes properly. Apparently you can't do that for the mounted WIM . Searching for a solution likewise.

 

If I use /PreventPending option would this stop offline package install?

 

When testing with this command the Image version showed still 16384 after integrating windows8.1-kb2919355-x64.msu, instead of 17031, what is shown when doing without /PreventPending.

Could try to change Pending xml in winsxs offline.
