Ahh yes, now I remember seen that weeks ago but did not take much notice, thanks. Can someone let me know if its enabled by default on a clean install of new .ISO for non Corp builds, thanks.
I think the Start menu and windowed Store apps are likely to be part of another update to Windows 8.1. If you take a closer look at the screen during the quick demo, the build number still reads 9600. Maybe that's on purpose, though. It might be part of Threshold. But on the other hand, if they got that feature already working and close to be stable, why hold it back for another twelve months when everbody is requesting it so badly? Don't they have more exciting stuff up their sleeves left for Windows 9? Windowed Store apps are not that exciting actually, you can have this today with ModernMix. Regarding the Start menu, I've got mixed feelings as I think it needs a better design. The one in the presentation looks like a frankenbuild of the one from Windows 7 crossed with the Start screen. I hope this will be improved. Nonetheless, it's not really a surprise to me that they didn't came out with more info regarding Threshold. I scanned through the Build session list as soon as it was made available, and because there was nothing really unexpected, the only place left are the keynotes. But since the Spring Update and the Windows Phone 8.1 releases (together with "universal apps") are such a big deal, one could tell there wouldn't be much news about a Windows 9.
Someone else asked about Enterprise mode in 11 and he got the reply that they also used gpedit to enable it at Build. So I doubt it is enabled by default.
