    clever bud...
can unload torrent client, stick the x86 in the unfinished download folder, rename, and start it up and let the client re-check the thing.

Of course, you can do this. I've personally tested this with my Win 8.1 ProWMC edition.
It works like a charm! :)

Just wanted to know one more thing:
    1. Plan to also activate office 2013 pro by phone with my legal key and backup with ATM again
    2. Can I also restore office 2013 phone activation on 8.1 with ATM (Note 8.1 and office 2013)

For 8 and office 2013, I just did one online activation months back and backed up both 8 and office 2013 with ATM. just restore them when I need to.

Why I ask this: I have technet keys which has been discontinued (though keys still work online), and it makes sense to preserve activation count.

No. Unless he knows how to chop torrent chunks out of files, he isn't doing that.

Well that only counts for the entire total of the files. He's seeding like 100gb right now... have some patience...
I can tell when they're working or not.. They're working right now... just slow.

That doesn't mean that there couldn't be a problem with the .torrent file he used to upload.
    That happens sometimes.

Guess there will be no cumulative windows 8.1 update 2 or an iso by that name. Remember no win 7 sp2 or win 7 with sp2. So win 8.1 update 1 iso may just be the final one with servicing through monthly updates.
MS may now just consider windows 8.1 as not worthy of huge spending. They might just devote more time to 9 instead.
