Yep, agree. But would need a monster card (or 3/4 of them) to get Metro or similiar running with all options on . I'm very comfort with my new Samsung 27'' .
Ive got the MSI R9 290 Gaming Twin Frozr IV 4GB GPU It's a fairly monster card, and can pretty much play anything at that rez with AA disabled, a few things like AC:IV need settings turned right down though, but most are happy being maxed out still Metro: Last Light is easy to max out at that rez with AA turned down, Metro 2033 is a mess at any rez All 3 of my LCDs are 23", so next upgrade will probably be 27"+ yea
Not gonna be able to run 3 x 1440p in Eyefinity without buying an extra GPU though, so will either be 3 x 27" @ 1080p, or 1 x 2650x1440 and slowly build back up again Maybe 1 x 4k
Yea plenty of time to wait, I only just bought the 3rd 1080p a week or two ago, not planning on upgrading for a while yet, need to let the bank balance settle for a while after the 290 too
After trying IPS monitor, there is no way I will go back to TN. The quality difference is just too big.
Yea I almost bought an IPS but my other two are TN so it would have looked daft and made the others two look washed out and crappy, so I thought for this particular upgrade Id just stick with TN Next will be IPS though, definitely the superior panel, colours, blacks, viewing angles - only worry is response rate, haven't looked into it fully, but the ones I was looking at were like 5-6ms minimum, Ive got 2ms on here No doubt the more expensive IPS will have low response rate too, just from what I noticed shopping the other day
haha, lucky u, mine never......just another indication how everyone's machines differ a bit one way or another, for me, ram usage is way way down compared to 8.1 stock, for others, they have experienced no such drop
