anyone here has slowdowns with update 1? with 8.1 was all good but after update 1, sometimes when i go to other partitions i have to wait 10 seconds for the icons to appear.
after a while the hot corners stop working: ex: charms bar not respond to the mouse movements, I can't close modern apps with mouse, etc.. but with the keyboard its working ex: Windows Key + C, ALT + F4 Anyone have this problem ? How to fix it: restart Windows Explorer process from Task Manager.

I don't think people realize how little of 64-bit OSs actually use 64-bit programs. I personally use 64-bit programs because dism often requires it to service 64-bit OS, but most people don't. For most of the people who use 64-bit, I bet you could swap their OS with a 32-bit version and they'd never notice.
Why install a language pack in wu search again Update 1 patch over 800mb (en windows 8.1 64 enterprise refresh) - before i install a language pack in the wu is just over 120mb update?
Couldn't understand the "128 bit" rumor, why should MS develope an OS that couldn't run on any of the chip in market?
well finally another person with the same thing! lol, however, I experienced this right from windows 8.0, I tried 8.1, the new update, always the same, I can hear the drive actually "producing" the icons, if that makes sense. I went back to 7 and tried that, and it never happened, I don't know maybe something to do with indexing or something
lol, I dunno, its only a wd caviar blue 500gb, but I had the problem ever since the early 8.0 days, like its processing each file every time I access the partition
