Good work everyone, looks like MS stopped the registry hack from working, good thing we got the MSU's, just in case they remove those links next
Anyone have any idea what would be the best way to integrate these updates into a ISO? Any easy GUI program to do it.
Considering that 031 is RTM, what reason could they have to block the download? Don't they prefer that everyone patches to latest version?
Some USB ports stopped working after main update, Think they are USB3.0 ports, need to do some investigating EDIT - Working again after last update > reboot
They don't like people getting their goods before they have time to get marketing's ass in gear to come up with a line about how amazingly epic this update is lol.
And this is why MS doesn't ship the update yet. The update itself might be finished, but OEMs need time to build updated drivers.
Good to hear, but my point still stands, take the WiFi drivers on Surface RT, they're not updated yet and they apparently don't work anymore after the update.
Someone could upload Update 1 .msu? I hadn't got time, I was outside, and tweak doesn't work right now , we are waiting for x64 and ARM links Thanks in advance
And that's a total FAIL on MS's part. It's their device, new drivers should have shipped as part of update 1.
So now we need a changelog, because if all MS have done since 8.1 RTM is add Metro apps to taskbar and add an X to close Metro apps, and a link to control panel, every single one of the Windows team needs sacked Especially if those tiny updates needed over 700MB in 4 different updates
