This update is a bit better but also annoying. I like how you can now click on the X to close the APPS instead of dragging it to the bottom and hold for a sec to close it. It's faster and smoother. The annoying part is when you close one of the Apps from inside START it will take you directly to desktop. I'm getting annoyed by it because I want to stay inside the start screen for the time being and open other APPS so taking you right back to desktop and clicking to go back to START screen and back and forth is freaking retarded. WTF Microsoft? EDIT: Ok, clicking on the X only closed the APP(s) so it's stopping it or pausing it but doesn't totally close it and clear the ram. You still have to drag and hold it at the bottom to totally close it and clear your ram.
It's funny that the Main MSU file KB2919355 has Release Type Update, not Feature Pack like the rest (except KB2919442) BTW, i'm pretty sure that those updates are the final, since they are published and exists in download.windowsupdate.com (which is used by WU and Microsoft Catalog Site)
Just integrated the x64 updates into the 8.1 ISO and installing a fresh install on VirtualBox now, I let you know how it goes. I used a base ISO without any updates. United Kingdom ISO.
KB2938439 and KB2937592 are Supplement updates as well, because like KB2932046 they have SupplementPackage manifest Code: KB2932046: "Microsoft-Windows-SupplementPackageStaging" version="6.3.9600.17031" KB2937592: "Microsoft-Windows-SupplementPackageStaging" version="6.3.9600.17034" KB2938439: "Microsoft-Windows-SupplementPackageStaging" version="6.3.9600.17037"
Sigh... This totally defeats the purpose of the system. You should NOT fully close apps that way. You'll have better performance just letting the system manage it. Suspended apps get evicted completely from RAM opportunistically (or when needed).
Nope integrated ISO installed but not new build version with Update 1. Not looking easy, or good guys any ideas to help me? I will try the Windows 8.1 U1 AIO 20in1 x64 en-US Pre-Activated DaRT 8.1 Feb201 murphey78 did last later and try again. I used Windows Hotfix Downloader v6.7 from this forum.
You mean click X if you do not want to fully close it. Dragging it down and holding it will close it and clear the ram.
