Good grief, update, roll out, feature pack, blah, blah, blah, who cares what whatever it is is called.
From now on, it if was not included in the original .iso, it shall be known as NEW SH!T.

I don't think you'll have problems but your winsxs folder will be bloated more than usual.

 

Not the country but my company. I am currently living in Egypt but my company are a$$es and block ALOT of websites that should not be blocked so I set up a proxy on my server in the US and I use that to access MDL

So, if I did a fresh 8.1 install, should I install all the updates from WU first and then go with this update pack order, or just go straight to KB2919355 and then the order?

 

windows 8.1 rtm fresh install + update 1 = works 100%

 

I did a fresh install on my VM, did the WU updates then the Update 1. All went 100% smoothly

 

so the six updates are referred to as update 1 ?

The other 3 are "Feature Packs" and no one really knows what they do yet really LOL

 

Some say, that you only need fresh 8.1 + KB2919355 and some say that you need only 2 files: KB2919442 + KB2919355. So nobody knows what is needed to install and they just guessing.

 

I'd recommend cloning your os drive before installing this.

 

Let it continue to install, some updates take time to configure the system, approx. 30-60 mins at most, unless you've got an old PC.
