all of my drivers are up to date even my BIOS do u know how to force uninstall them i cant from control panel or CMD
Thanks for the reply. Yes in fact I use UxStyle patcher and an unofficial theme. Changed to an official theme after your post and everything works fine.
Just figured this out... To get the taskbar to pop-up reliably in a Metro app; just take your mouse to the bottom of the screen & then scroll downwards with your mouse/trackpad. Pops up everytime
system properties > windows update > bottom left you should find installed updates > click there and select the one you like to uninstall when the appropriate menu appears. If there is no menu you cannot uninstall by design. .....442 cannot be uninstalled !!
Apparently this commands works only if you integrated the Spring Update (kb2919442, kb2919355 at least) no, i ment while it's mounted
Updated a test machine on our domain network to Update 1 just to get the feel of it. Anyway since the update has been applied folder redirection no longer works. The first logon it does but after the second and later logons it redirects back locally. In event viewer it states that the redirection policy has been removed but nothing in group policy has changed. All my existing Windows 8 machines work fine. So I'm not sure if this is a bug or an unfinished patch. Either way I'm going to test this a lot more heavily when released officially. This is not one of those let deploy everywhere patches. MS should really give Admins more time for this stuff.
Playing with 8.0 to 8.1 upgrades to make sure it allows the keep programs and settings options and also playing with the adding hotfixes to boot wim and resetbasing... I'm confident in the indexes being 100%, but I'm playing with the setup files now... It will be up today.
Got it to work, even after installing all 6 updates on the boot.wim Apparently the dism /image:c:\mount /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup doesn't work, but if you add /resetbase it does... This is definitely something new with the spring2014... It's completely unnecessary though.. (cept maybe for wimboot) You can install, upgrade, everything under the sun without these updates. Still I'll include them in my release, just in case.
It'll be done at When-It's-Done-O'Clock. I wanna see if I can resetbase the indexes and I still have to finish testing x64 upgrade If everything goes well, I'll be done in like an hour. If I still have more work to do because of resetbase working, who knows... I'm not just gonna resetbase and not test it if it works. I would have to test to make sure the indexes behave appropriately and pass file scan tests. Edit: for the record, no it won't resetbase on the install.wim, just the boot.wim
