Anyone knows if it's there a way (regedit key or something...) to make the taskbar doesn't hide in a metro app?

If not, anyone knows why I can't get to show the taskbar when I'm in a metro app?

Not that easy to find :D. For me it works to go with my mouse to the edge that houses the taskbar and then give it a little push to that side ... VOILA, task bar appears :cool2:

Any of this 2 solutions do not work for me. The option in taskbar properties is checked and, in Camera for ex., I keep pushing the mouse to the bottom and taskbar won't appear...

Any registry trick for taskbar and the-new-metroapp-topbar to stay and not hide?

you must "run" down with your mouse felt like going beyond the low end of your screen and it should appear (if you run latest update!) Exiting this area moves the task bar back to its bed.

appearance of task bar seems to be triggered only when moving mouse at a certain speed to the bottom of the screen. Nothing happens when there is only minor movement at that area certainly programmed by design

Solved. Restart and voilá: this problem joins the Microsoft Gold List of the 99% bugs that are solved with anything but a fuc*ing restart.

Anyways, looking forward in this forum to a registry trick to making the taskbar and topbar don't hide.

    Thx to everyone helping me.

Since we're probably moving to windowed apps in Windows 9, I wouldn't worry too much about that for now, but still, a registry trick would be nice.

I can also confirm ian82's issues & others as well with the temporary freezing problem on the desktop with this Update pack during bootup. Only does it on my name though strangly, the 3 other login names I have setup on my desktop do not do it though, as well as a Windows 8 Core laptop I have is fine with the update as well. It is weird, but I cannot figure out why it does it. I uninstalled the KB2919355 update pack and all is fine again with no freeze ups.

Is anyone else having problems with the StartIsBack program with this new Update Pack? Im having buggy results with the Charms Bar disappearing & reappearing quite frequently. This is happening on two different computers, one running Windows 8.1 Pro with WMC & the other running Windows 8.1 Core. o_O

EDIT: Nevermind. These are confirmed bugs in StartIsBack+ by Tihiy on his web site & will be addressed once the update is officially released.

thanks a lot for the hint, I already tried that, but I am trying again. I also found this:
    w w w. wintips .o r g/ fix-windows-update-error-code-0x80070003-or-0x80070002
and this: superuser. c o m/ questions/661890/windows-8-1-install-error-0x80070002 (to see these, you need to remove the blank spaces)
do you think the fact that I have a partition marked as active which is not the one containing the os may cause this error?

Found that it has issues with Nightly afterwards.

I have had no other issues that than mainly by fixing things here and there.
