Well that could be the reason why you did not get it in WU. If you already installed it, why would WU offer it to you again?
yep, that is exactly the reason. hash is identical to leaked version, so it does not show again, why should it?
so I got this KB2919442 installed by WU, does this means MS is preparing for the deployment of the update 1 finally soon? when do you think I will get the last update which will change my Windows build number?
lol ... mine will change April 2 if I'd not changed it earlier D) because MSDN might have all new files at this point. Curious upon they way they deploy stuff ...
I'm about to install Murphy's AIO spring 2014, but now we have March updates, what will happen? Should I install the spring update Iso or not? Will it make conflicts?
Letting WU install things is pretty safe but I'd avoid manually installing things unless you are sure nothing is superseded. The March rollup is fine. I believe there is a defender update that you should be careful about. I had problems after installing it when Windows Defender was disabled. You might have problems with that, or using an A/V program. If you're not willing to take a risk with an a/v program, either don't use the update, or don't use the a/v program.
info: uxtheme.dll (and other) build 17031 libraries needs to be repatched if you using 3rd party themes
Guys I tried to run a Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth after the updating because I found out that the image was corrupted but the restore health failed with error Error 0x800f081f, this is what I found about the error on google: This error code can occur when an alternative installation source is specified and one of the following conditions is true: The location that is specified by the path does not contain the files that are required to install the feature. The user who tries to install the feature does not have at least READ access to the location and to the files. The set of installation files is corrupted, incomplete, or invalid for the version of Windows that you are running. Could it be that the windows update servers are missing the required files to run a dism restore process since the update is not out yet?
It seems like March Update (KB2928680) is already included in S2014 update. I tried integrating it anyway to keep WU happy using murphy's AIO S2014 DVD however the integrations fails everytime probably because KB2919355 is in Install Pending state. Anyone have any recommendation for this one.
Dear amires, I have done the same update without any problem. I am using murphy78's Windows 8.1 AIO Spring 2014 x86 en-US DaRT 8.1 ESD from tpb. See PIC Regards, Manu
I think you meant the WIM version since ESD is not servicable. Thanks for confirming that it is working for you I will try integrating it again.
Dear amires, I have downloaded the ESD version only and burn the image to a dvd and install the OS. I got the above mentioned update through WU. I think you have downloaded the version that is Windows 8.1 AIO S14 x64 en-US DaRT 8.1 Pre-Activated Mar2014 of murphy78, which is inclusive of the said update(KB2928680). Its already integrated in to image by murphy78. I think thats the reason you are not able to integrate again. Regards, Manu
What I meant was integrating KB2928680 into an offline image using DISM. I am using Murphy's Windows 8.1 AIO Spring 2014 x64 en-US DaRT 8.1 WIM. I used MSMG ToolKit v1.04 this time and integrated KB2894853,KB2899189,KB2928680,KB2938527 and as far as I can tell integration went smoothly. I am just about to test the iso in vmware.
Assume WZor will have it before they hit MSDN.. altho' he's been holding back lately, so who knows... Also they are likely to be VL - so if you want a WMC-enabled version you may be SOL
if you have update1 then this not working properly ... simply try to right click on some tile in start menu... do you see new (pin, unpin, run, uninstall, resize, ....) menu ?
