Why people don't read posts and make proper appropriate conclusions from? I already debunked everything on this subject in the hotfix repository thread yesterday.
Arseny, sorry to piss you, that was before breakfast and a good cup of tea, didn't put the words properly.
I don't know if will be ISO to this Spring update because : 1) This update doesn't have new kernel like win8.1, So this is not new OS. 2) The Language packs are in the update files.
Looking at the size of the update, I'm sure VL ISOS will be updated. Now Retail ISOS is a different story.. But maybe. Who knows.
Hello all, I updated my Windows 2 go USB drive with Update 1, everything went perfect. Now when I go for updates to the store apps, it tells me for, for ALL apps, error 0x8020002b. Does anyone know what this error code means for Windows Store Apps when trying to update them?
Well WU worked fine, its the store that for some reason gives me this error. I also tried to download an app and it gives me the same error. Do you or anyone know the address that the store connects to? Wondering as here at work they have blocked some sites and URL's and was wondering if the stores addres/URL is blocked. Can anyone help me out with this?
Enterprise customers are main income source to M$ when we talk about OS business, so they want these customers to be happy. Moreover, it is real pain in the a** when you need to update lets say 500 PCs, and it's not so hard if you need to update 1 or 2. So for this reason I think it will be same story as it was with GA update - only VL will be updated for easier deployment in large organisations.
Hi there! I have the feature pack installed as indicated here. After installing the update kb2919355-x64.msu windows8.1-I start the computer and then it's over, the system simply will not boot. After a long search I came out that it is 120% the driver sptd.sys from Alcohol. If I switch to off, then it goes. Who knows the problem and who knows a solution to this? greez HannHenne
Ok guys, its my day off and I have a fully updated Windows 8.1 (including kb2919442). Is it safe to install kb2939087 and kb2919355 onto my main PC... Also do I or should I install the other 3 files...
@ Tito Yes I have installed the most current driver. I want to install the following updates: 01 windows8.1-kb2919442-x64.msu 02 windows8.1-kb2939087-x64.msu 03 windows8.1-kb2919355-x64.msu 04 windows8.1-kb2932046-x64.msu 05 windows8.1-kb2938439-x64.msu 06 windows8.1-kb2937592-x64.msu How and when kb2919355 is after the end of the installation and the computer goes into an infinite loop and boats constantly new in the repair mode. Mh nobody an idea?
Some guys here on MDL reported various issues with this update so in my opinion it would be better to wait while M$ push this updates through WU.
I've tried this update on more than 12 PCs and Laptops, with different devices and different editions. All in English 64bit version. so far no problems, both at installation and during everyday use Make sure you turn off third-party antivirus, before doing the update. This often leads to the failure of the update. Update order : Windows8.1-KB2919442-x64.msu windows8.1-kb2939087-x64.msu windows8.1-kb2932046-x64.msu Restart Windows8.1-KB2919355-x64.msu Restart Windows8.1-KB2932046-x64.msu Windows8.1-kb2938439-x64.msu Windows8.1-KB2937592-x64.msu Restart Done!
I installed it on two main machines and I don't have any issues so far. I just followed the proposed order and rebooted every time I was asked for it. But there's no guarantee that it will work on another system/configuration just as well. If you're going to install it on a main/production machine, the usual rule applies: Proceed at your own risk.
