    Confirmed also for 8.1 Pro 64bit

    I downloaded sunstars termsrv.dll from below

    Did the manual hex edits below with a trial hex editor program (h t t p : / / w w w . b psoft.com/downloads/)

    Windows 8.1 Pro x64

    change
    83 7C 24 68 00 0F 84
    to
    83 7C 24 68 00 90 E9

    and change

    BB 01 00 00 00 C7
    to
    BB 00 00 00 00 C7



    just remember to shut the firewall off or make exclusions! remove spaces from links above

    well the patch worked but it breaks up the audio, you need to restart the machine to make the audio get back to work

    I tested the manual hack on Win 8.1 x64

    Agreed, hopefully this can be fixed! I found that restarting the Windows Audio service can help avoid a restart. I typically RDP in to use Spotify etc (playing on host), and then any subsequent usage of the console session has no audio, but playback does not produce a sound device error, it's just silent.
    so we might need a metro shortcut to stop AudioSrv and start it again...

    It is a shame it yet doesn't work like on Windows 7. I hope someone manage to get this sorted. If I knew how to help I would do something to make this work.

    i have tryed about a dozen hex fixes for termsrv.dll but not even one is working for me.. can you please help me.

    i am running windows 8.1 enterprise x64 (fresh install with all updates). tnx

    what can i do?
