and how are you able to sync a windows phone with it it didnt do much of anything. installed the drivers and then nothing
I think Microsoft wants to make it harder for everyday user to shut down the Desktop/Laptop/Tablet etc and wants everyone to use sleep (auto-sleep in case of Laptop/Tablet) or just leave it on in case of Desktops Rest will figure out how to...
Shutdown is easy enough, hover in lower right corner, click settings on charm bar, then power button. Multi monitor is unbearable for me at this point. I have the Start Screen on my center screen. I want to google something that I see on the Start Screen so I go over to my right hand monitor and click Chrome in the taskbar and the Start Screen disappears. I reopen it, then click back on the browser window and it disappears again. Am I just doing it wrong?
The store is open for me even though it said it was unavailable when I opened it (you click try again and it comes up). I can't figure out how you're supposed to get out of it without hitting the windows button on your keyboard though. I'm sensing a trend with that. Also, the fact that some control panels are in Metro and some aren't is just LOL, I'd love to have someone explain to me why the way this is set up makes sense. Sorry to be so negative, I love new software.
I'd love to see an option much like linux, to switch desktop modes. Between W7 desktop mode and Metro w/desktop mode, or just Metro if you're on a tablet.
Upgraded from Win 7 x64 Ultimate to 8. It kept all programs and settings. How to disable this metro start screen? How to bring Windows start button back?
What about Acronis image true 2011 ?, is compatible ? Important for back to Win 7 in case of problems
Oh please, don't do this to me Why? I have never used it. One of first things I've done when install Win7 was remove this and more functions using turn on/off windows features. Now on windows 8 CP I still see WMC is on turn on/off windows features list.
