Where is the backgrounds stored for the Metro screen? I realize they dont think actual pictures work well and wont allow them but id still like to customize the background image. Youd have to think if we know where these files are stored then we can change them some how. Anyone know?
hmm yeah thats what I was wondering, I have asus m5a88-m usb3, wondering if i'll bother to try, might just use 8 default ones
Maybe I was half-awake but I remember Canouna posting a screenshot showing Skydrive as a favorite in Explorer. How exactly can you go about having Skydrive act like another hard drive or a folder (like Dropbox) in the consumer preview, if at all?
Hi Everyone, I just installed the 64 bit edition on a X200s with 6gb of RAM and a brand new SSD120gb Corsair. Installation = Flawless How its running right now ? Pretty Pretty Pretty Good ! GJ Microsoft ! Anyone knows the expiration date for this consumer preview ?
Past new versions of Windows had problems with hardware drivers. I would hold off on installing any chipset drivers until Intel or AMD release updated versions specifically for Windows 8. I would install any hardware drivers that show up in Windows Update. I would not install any hardware drivers downloaded from hardware vendors UNLESS they were designed for Windows 8 OR UNLESS you have no other choice. For example, if your scanner doesn't work, you can try the Windows 7 drivers; they may or may not get it to work.
Before i installed WCP i had 3 partitions: W7, WDP and Ubuntu. After install (formatting WDP-partition, installing WCP there) Ubuntu won't boot. WCP-install screwed the Ubuntu boot-up. Any fix? Im not experienced when it comes to linux, but i would prefer not to reinstall Ubuntu..
right click on start screen and click all apps and if its there right click it and click pin to start
you may need to use something like easybcd to be able to select which system you want to boot into or you may have to install over again
