For color schemes and what not, I would have to imagine before all is said and done, theyll end up giving us more customization options. At the very least, Id expect to see some third party programs that will allow us to make some very detailed changes. I hope it doesnt come to that, Id rather MS open up more customization options up to us first.
Very cool. Canouna, I take back any negative thing ive said about you. Thanks, really neat customization tool and im sure its just the beginning as the WCP just came out.
Im interested in that too. I understand Zune software is gone now. Be nice to know if the Sync stuff is all set up to work in WCP too, for my Windows Phone 7
hxxp://mediafire.com/?qtv7551otjc5ez2 Yes, open up explore then left click on Music libary on the left and add your music to it. Same goes for the Photos app
It gave me an error message that it could not install on an GPT disk. I have a UEFI BIOS so I preallocated a GPT disk and it wouldn't use it.
Buggy 1. My keyboard is wrong @ doesn't work must press shift + 2 as the " and @ have been mixed up somehow. 2. My DISK was locked at 100% and i had to restart. 3. Pinball FX app keeps closing and will not open at all. 4. Windows Store app is stuck at the loading screen. Good things: 1. Fast boot. 2. Easier to use. 3. Performance increase. 4. Interface seems OK at the moment but still no orb which is annoying.
My experience with CP was good so far. All my hardware was working without me installing any drivers. It seems that the nvidia drivers are included in the OS since it was not running in vesa mode but in full res and i could play games too. I installed latest nvidia drivers without problem, also sound drivers but network drivers refused to install, and webcam is working already so i did not bother to install Logitech drivers. Just have to learn to use it fully. Have to get get used to metro. Took me a while to figure out how to do windows updates and how to restart pc.. lol.. I like how fast it is to search apps and files. Just press windows key and type what you want. Figured out that you can press windows key + tab to open up the list of running apps so you can right click on them and close, so they are running there in the background until you close them. And when you drag mouse to right bottom or top corner it brings up a side panel... is there a shortcut for that?
You have 5 partitions on a MBR disk, the limit is 4 My fault, some of them are logica not primary Try to delete the partition and select the unallocated spiace instead
Does anybody know how to get the "my computer" icon on the desk top? also desktop users needs the START button back , just seems you need to do more clicks to get to the same places , windows 8 might be good for tablets but for desktop use, microsoft needs to rethink this metro thingy, make an option to disable it
But you did say it was made irrelevant which can't be true if more than half of the people here say Windows 8 sucks. You'd say it's superior, I'd say it's a poorly designed mess that feels like a tablet OS. To copy text from notepad to Visual Studio and then move the project to a virtual machine in Windows 8: Open notepad and I'm moved from "start" to desktop I Move the mouse to bottom right, move it up half way and then select to view apps. I'm taken away from my desktop, I select Visual Studio and I go back to the desktop I Move the mouse to bottom right, move it up half way and then select to view apps. I'm taken away from my desktop, I select my Virtual Machine and I go back to the desktop To copy text from notepad to Visual Studio and then move the project to a virtual machine in Windows 7: Open notepad Press start, click pinned Visual Studio. I can still view notepad Press start, click pinned Virtual Machine. I can still view notepad and Visual Studio Result? Classic start menu is quicker and allows me to see my work at all times. Note: I know the windows key can bring up the start menu on both OS's, but this is just a simple demo to show Windows 8 is a tablet OS. On a tablet you take your finger away from the screen so you're doing none of the moving mouse all over the place crap.
