Lol now i am on a black screen..... i guess it's that i installed the preview and the normal and manually haha and again, reinstall we meet again.,..
I'm disappointed. The WCP has a lot of features and it's fast... but slow. It slows down my HDD a lot and most apps are buggy. The messenger in it sucks, I installed Windows Live Messenger and it worked until it no longer shows anyone online and it doesn't really work anymore. Microsoft... I hope you do better in compatibility. I know this is a beta but it's somewhat buggy.
In first example, why have you not already pinned these items to taskbar in desktop? -notepad, visual studio, and virtual machine. ?
I slightly invalidate this, as you can pin to your Taskbar as well not just your Startmenu, yeah you might not want to have 10 pinned apps but... honestly i pin my frequently used app sonto my Taskbar directly as they are open most of the time to begin with so they are taking up the space at all time instead of just when they are open, also they are placed in the same spot all the time. You can pin as many programs onto the taskbar as you have in your pinned Startmenu, but if you kinda feel like you want less wasted space on your taskbar for a cleaner look you can look into JumplistLauncher which might be good solution for Windows8 as you can now pin this single Application onto your Taskbar but start any Program you want with it depending on how you setup it (pretty much works like pinned applications in Startmenu)
See the note. I'm giving a demo of the start menu usage, so they could even be pinned in metro but it still has more steps. I just don't like losing sight of the things I'm working on, even if it is for a brief moment. On Windows 7 I even organise and size my windows by importance so that I can always view what I'm working on. Something like JumplistLauncher might help people like me, but it would be good for Microsoft to include something similar or give back the option to use the classic start menu.
Not sure if this was brought up. I have Zune Pass. At least right now, it doesn't appear to be incorporated with the Music App, unless im doing something wrong....
Thank you very much for pointing that out. This is a cool feature however I'd argue it's implemented in a clumsy way with hovering and right clicking a button that should just be on the task bar. You should also be able to customize *everything*. And no matter what you say multi-monitor doesn't work well
I still have something to add. I unlinked my account… Then went to use the Messaging app again and it's turned to German! What the ...? Buggiest Windows beta ever.
