The language pack in Microsoft.Windows.ServerManager.Common.resources did cause problem. And you remind us to use the one from Microsoft.Windows.ServerManager.Common. But there is no language pack in this folder. (Besides that, they are different files.) (I had nearly everything showed in my language but this one.) Could you please show me in more detailed? Note: No worries. I might try to use and translate the 14393 one to my language. It might help. Yeah, Thanks.
Use the dll in that folder. Rename the old one if you mind to use the related MUI. And keep in mind that this may be adverse effects on some subsections of the server manager. It works for me but I didn't check it thoroughly. In case of problems just rename back the original dll, and delete both the dll and the related mui
Ah, ok, sorry. Not sure someone bothered to export the cabs until now. You need sxsexpand to grab them from a W10 installation
I'm on limited data bundle these days, so something I don't want to experiment with. Just guessing, but I think that would be somewhat odd to not have the LPs available but WSUS working...
Windows Server 2016 14393 (1607) install and converted to Windows 10 professional. 1.Activated as Windows 10 professional which activated Cortana. 2.Used windows10.0-kb3176931-x64_d28f260835859577040c854819902c66a3172d79 to update, version is now 1607 (OS Build 14393.67). 3.Downloaded and installed Microsoft Edge (Thanks to xinso), then installed Store, all are working fine, all other apps have been uninstalled. 4.Used Turn Windows feature on or off (activated by windows10.0-kb3176931-x64_d28f260835859577040c854819902c66a3172d79) to uninstall everything i could. 5.Set all settings in Settings and Services and gpedit to how i like them. NOTES: MUST NOT BE UNINSTALLLED: Microsoft Windows ServerCore WOW64, But all Sub folder can be uninstalled. Microsoft-Windows-Server-Shell-Package-DisplayName, But all Sub folder can be uninstalled. Server Core Drivers and Sub. Server Core WoW64 Drivers NOTES 2: The Server side of the OS seem to have been completely uninstalled (apart from what MUST NOT BE UNINSTALLLED) OR replaced by Windows 10 professional, as there are no setting anywhere for the Server side of the OS. The Modded Windows Server 2016 is running super fast, and working fine.
My DREAMING How to Convert Windows 10 x64 to Server with functional ServerManager and Settings? (x86 would be useless for 4GB Ram limitation due to ProductPolicy.) Or How to deal with digital signature of a certificate?
Code: Replaced a file and some folders with some form Windows 10 professional: Professional.xml Branding Licenses spp then used SppExtComObjPatcher-kms to activate. then updated with windows10.0-kb3176931-x64_d28f260835859577040c854819902c66a3172d79 then uninstall everything i could with Turn Windows feature on or off then uninstalled All other apps with a script. NOTES: THERE IS A MUST DO WAY OF REPLACING THE FILE AND FOLDERS, OR IT WILL NOT WORK.
Thanks. Anyway, although technically interesting w/o going back and forth the practical use would be somewhat limited. With NTserver, 2000 server 2003 and 2008 was pretty useful to switch, because some blocked installations like Partition Magic or the antivirus. The lock was limited to the setup time, thence you could switch to desktop, install the intended SW, and switch back to server keeping the installed SW. This way you got practically an LTSB, which would be interesting if activable with the digital entitlement.
Yes. Actually we can get them by Windows 10 Non-N Editions.
