Now 2 errors. Maybe because i also tried the flash update on the core edition (not mentioned in package properties)?

Install.wim Index 2 updates correct. Only the Winre.wim fails again (boot.wim runs later).

Still the same errors on boot.wim and winre.wim.

    uggh..

I guess I need to in-place upgrade my existing Server 2016's which were installed from 14393.0.160715-1616 to get them to the 14393.0.160911.2111 then maybe these latest updates will properly install?

Or is the 160911 build just a slipstream of updates from 160715?

    I is becoming confused...

The newer refresh release and the evals contain one update (KB3192137) and the releasebuild is exactly the same 14393.0.

Also, the latest updates install just fine on running systems, only winpe images have problems with the latest server CU.

So you're saying that an install from the earlier release and kept fully up to date should be the same as installed from the new release? I hope that's what you meant.

That would mean the ones where KB3192366 fails to install and reverts back have some other issue. I'll probably end up in-place upgrading those.

I installed via 14393.0.160715-1616.RS1_RELEASE_SERVER_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US. Going forward I'll be fine with updates? KB3192366 successfully installed for me.

    My OS build is 14393.206
