    Guys, i need a helping hand on this one as i´m getting more and more confused when reading this thread.

    Q: Is it possible to activate MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.SERVER.2016.RTM.RS1_REFRESH.EEAP.OEMRET.ENGLISH.DVD-WZT with Microsoft Toolkit?

    Any heads up is very appreciated :)

    I was able to accomplish the task by using VDISM GUI tool.

    I will try your suggestion next time. Thanks for all the help here. This is a great forum.

    Does anyone know if the method to enable terminal services licensing (remote desktop services now)--for educational/testing purposes, of course--has changed in 2016?

    I have the first server 2016 release found on the first page of this thread. My question is, what is the difference between the first release and the refresh release? Is it just the language pack(s) can now be injected?

    And the refresh release contain update KB3192137 to fix media codecs issue

    It's the same build, and already received updates
    you will only miss the codecs fix (maybe they pulish the update later)

    Can't wait to get hold of MSDN VL ISO to use it at home lab. Hope somebody will share the link here....

    Why does no one here care about spying concerns? Do you want microsoft to see everything you run on your server?

    Analysis for those asking about Antivirus and related software to use in Server systems: no_short_urls_allowed/j7w4dfy

    *Note: Obviously, the SysAdmin must think in terms of different approaches (DNS and Proxy being the most critical regarding Internet traffic)

    As for my personal home use, I use Vivaldi browser with extensions I checked to block undesired traffic, as well as the infallible caution of never clicking anything unrequested. For inspecting USB drives, the #1 standalone scanning tool is ClamWin (Free).
