    Part Number is different, it can't be X21-22843 .

    Unfortunately, I don't have access to Windows Server products with my VLSC Subscription.
    We'll know it's complete filename in the next VLSC Catalog Issue of October 2016 (should appear in a few days)

    The only VL iso is SW_DVD9_Win_Svr_STD_Core_and_DataCtr_Core_2016.

    How is en_microsoft_hyper-v_server_2016_x64_dvd_9347277 activated? Or rather how does activation for this product work?

    It is activated even without Internet connection, hence it is local activation only (like XP VL used to be, just the key) with GVLK only.

    Just interested in its mechanics

    Not at all. Hype-V is standalone, on bare metal, AVMA are for VM running on Hyper-V

    We should start to understand if 2016 is activable through SLIC like 2012 R2 ( I didn't read anything about that, yet)

    If that's the case could be that HV is set to accept any SLIC.

    I would not expect any reliance on any slic, hyper-v shows activated on plain Virtualbox

    Yes, it is, just would like to understand its mechanism (what does happen in that case, what bits are responsible for it, what bits are different from other activation (KMS, online) methods

    Nope. Everything is alright, except my VLSC Subscription (Open) which doesn't allow me to download these files :D
