But it's so difficult to convert ServerHyperCore to others. I think the easy way is Classic Menu + GUI programs. I am not good at Core editions.
Yes, I am so interested in it too. Otherwise I would not have spent time on it. (I never used Core until this activated-right-away ServerHyperCore.) It's permanently activated with default key. Better than XP VOL. Nano is the best, but amd64 only. Oh, I have not tried it yet. It doesn't have Editions packages. (Without these packages, GUI is impossible to be activated.)
Confirmed: ServerHyperCore (xx_microsoft_hyper-v_server_2016_x64_dvd_xxxxxxx.iso) activates itself permanently without any tool.
I installed in Hyper-V. I said to myself "Self, now that you have installed Server, and found it has pretty much nothing you want what do you do with it?" So, I deleted it.
Yes , i have Windows Server Storage installed. At first sight , there seems no difference between Storage Server and Others such as Datacenter and Standard for a home user. But i want to know what are the pros and cons for Storage Server when compared to Datacenter and Standard.. Is there anyone who gives me information about this ?
Not checked in 2016 but usually it has less optional features than datacenter and std. On 2012R2 it lacked also some multimedia componets, making it a very light OS but not suitable for everyone, especially as desktop machine. On the other hand it come with all the storage features (say the deduplication) that are missing in some other cheaper versions like the Essentials. In short use the the std or datacenter unless you're sure of what you're doing. Use the Essentials if you want to build a good home server, and eventually add the dedup package to it.
