I got lost here, what is the purpose of this exercise then?
Make ie Server Std think that it is HyperCore for the purpose of licensing only?

Wasn't the original question to add GUI to HyperCore, to use as "workstation"?

It should be possible IF you have the correct key and files, and some here would love to get that info.

By extracting GUI packages of ServerStandard

    however,
Microsoft-Windows-Server-Shell-Package includes most of the whole system, not just shell
other sub-packages require this as parent

it's a mess that i doubt it will work
    Code:
    Microsoft-Windows-ServerShellInfra-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-Server-Gui-Mgmt-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-ServerManager-UX-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-Server-Features-Remainder-shell-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-Server-Gui-RSAT-Package-base
    Microsoft-Windows-Server-Gui-RSAT-Package-net
    Microsoft-OneCore-AppRuntime-shell-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-CloudExperienceHost-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-Fonts-DesktopFonts-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-Graphics-IndirectDisplays-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-MinInput-Desktop-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-SHCORE-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-Shell-ServiceHostBuilder-Package
    Microsoft-OneCore-ShellHost-Package
    Microsoft-ShellCommon-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-AuthUX-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-CloudExperienceHost-Package
    Microsoft-Windows-Composition-Package

Dependency hell, like on some Linux flavours.

Anyway I guess that most of the non GUI packages are likely the same as te ones already present on HV, if they will be installed again it shouldn't hurt.

    It's the productPolicy.

It's OK to downgrade GUI to Core, but not from Core to GUI.

    Forget about it.

    I'm telling the truth.

I do not want to offend anybody.

But Now, for MrMagic, I'd like to challenge you!

    It's impossible due to ProductPolicy.
