Is it just me or dragging pinned tiles in the start menu causes it to hang and crash? Nevermind: Found the culprit "375.57 break windows 10 mail, calendar and the ability to rearrange tiles in the start menu...nVidia has been off its game lately 373.06 have been the only reliable drivers in the last 6 months for me." Someone on the Geforce forums
I'm lost. Really I have no idea about what are you talking about? Explaining in plain English what the supposed problem is would be very helpful, to avoid pointless misunderstandings.
For any reason I have no sound when I try to play an .mp4 video file with Windows Media Player... (the same file has sound when played with VLC) .mp3 files have sound when played with WMP... xinso posted a downloadable file (+ the list of which files are contained) in #791 but even after integrating the codec packages + language files (separately) successfully I still have no sound. Do I need anything else?
@T-S This shouldn't be necessary. The file package xinso posted contains e.g.: Multimedia-RestrictedCodecsExt-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0.cab Multimedia-RestrictedCodecsExt-WOW64-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0.cab Which contain the necessary files... @xinso I don't know why this happens. Your package contains all codec .dlls. I'm on NVIDIA card + Realtek High Definition Audio as well on this PC. I'm not aware of any other files / packages that would solve this issue
Yeah, but as I wrote that was what I did at the time and it wasn't enough to make the programs relying exclusively on it working (say Vivaldi or the current Opera). Anyway I didn't further investigate after I fixed it.
