As expected, if one tries to activate Server 2019 from real KMS host running Server 2016 the error message is generated, but sadly it is utter rubbish wording:

Code:

0xC004F074 with description "No Key Management Server (KMS) could be contacted"

 

Server 2019 is LTSC. Unless you mean Windows 10 LTSC.

 

Do anyone have links to Windows Server Core / Semi Annual 1809 / 17763? Or do we only have the LTSB/LTSC ISO's? If you use the LTSB/LTSC ISO's and install without GUI you won't be on the Semi-Annual update branch?

Hi @LiteOS so i got board lastnight and applied the UUP's for Win10 1809 17663.1 to Server 2019 install.wim . i got errors on 3 esd files.
I also had to create a unattend install file as the admin account did not work. I noticed this turned server 2019 into a sort of client build
where all devices would detect and install drivers out of the box.Also had Microsoft Account Intergration. But no modern apps or app store. I did notice the branding was wrong it was blank in winver and System !.
What i am trying to do is create a lite weight OS. Server 2019 has great performance. What's your advice ?

 

stick to it and do simple but effective tweaks until ms release ltsc 2019

its hard to tell if it worth the time, didnt do much testing
im looking for the safest route to make good lited

Using ltsc or server packages should be stabler

Whatever I do, I cannot get my network adapter (Intel I219-V) to work. Even WU cannot install it when connecting via a wireless network (Yes, could get wireless network working) But let's see.
Edit: Seams I have to edit the driver's INF file.

 

I am assuming server 2019 requires new keys to activate? ie. you cant use a server 2016 key?

 

Seems like Microsoft has removed the download links. Does any one have a link to standard/data center edition (English)?

Edit: Yeah it was on my end. Must be DNS blocked in a host name file.

 

I have now the German 17763.1.180914-1434.rs5_release_SERVER_EVAL_x64FRE_de-de converted into VL, then I've even index 4 datacenter exported so I have only one index 1, it is normal that he almost at the end of the setup, after asks for a product key?, I skipped this option, got the $ OEM $ from the KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-26, into the sources folder, everything is unlocked.
