And I am sure that Intel will do just that in time. Right now, as concerning their drivers available to end-users, Server 2019 doesn't exist yet.
Windows Server 2019 is indeed a LTSC version! Windows Server 2016 the predecessor is a LTSB version. EDIT: Server versions is always gonna be LTSB/LTSC!
Why do people chose Datacenter over Essentials, what is the advantage? I noticed that on Essentials the server Manager App does not auto start like it does on Datacenter. From my understanding Essentials is not evaluation like Datacenter so no need to convert to Retail.
They want to make sure they can run Crysis on Ultra EDIT: On a more serious note, I don't have the slightest idea to why people choose Datacenter, Standard is more than enough for anyone. EDIT 2: Essentials seems to be targeted to SMB's, don't see why anyone would go for that honestly.
For the same reason people preferred Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise rather than Pro or even home premium. To have all the features being that does not use half of them. Maybe a little ego too. "If I use the most complete version or the most updated I am more cool"
