Hello,

I see on internet many cases with following issue on server 2019 : Spin down disk not work anymore.

I have actually Windows server 2012 r2 and i want to migrate to 2019 but i have many disk don't need run 24/24 (archiving)

You know if issue is still on Server 2019 ? Resolve on 2022 preview ? I see StableBit Scanner software maybe for have this functionality. (Anyone already tested) ?

I installed the ISO from GezoeSloog collection in a VM, but the version installed was Core, it is, without a GUI (Desktop Experience). I was never asked which edition or version I wanted to install, how do I get the screen in which I can choose what to install? From what I've researched, you can't convert from Core to GUI anymore on Server 2019, unlike previous versions.

Is there something like ei.cfg for Windows Server images?

Server 2022 LTSC also seems out of the testing stage, but it's not sure if it reached "final" stage.

 

Even if Server 2022 is stable and has been stable for a long time with minor bugs which apparently are not addressed with priority at the moment, I would say it is a bit early in the cycle to be RTM. It is supposed to 21H2, about 3 years after 2019 and somehow the dates do not align. I don't really understand current Microsoft's optics as they seem to have disconnected regular 21H2 build from the LTSC build.

Yeah, that was the solution, for some reason Easy Install only lists Core SKUs.

I have downloaded Server 2022 and i want to install and use it as a workstation.
Does anybody have cumulative registry tweaks for turning a server into a workstation ?
