[DISCUSSION] Windows Server 2025 (Build 26100)

Networking on this Server is horrible. FTP usage dropped from approx. 6 - 10 mbs/s download to 1 - 2 mbs/s. Horrible.
Didn't even measure the upload speed.

Well that sucks.

My guess is they have yet to figure out how to license Arm64 exclusively under some sort of "flexible" "cost effective" "modern" Azure Arc-enabled subscription-only licensing.

 

Is there a way to enable PIN / fingerprint login on 26280 / 26100?

Have already tweaked some GPOs like below, but still nothing,
not even an option for PIN / fingerprint login in settings.

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon:
Turn on convenience PIN sing-in.
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Biometrics:
Allow the use of biometrics.
Allow users to log on using biometrics.
Allow domain users to log on using biometrics.

 

today server 2025 datacenter on my vmware workstation pro 17.6 got the same update as win 11 24h2, so is also at 26100.1742 from previous 26100.14xx cu
