Server 2022 OS Build 20348.3695 installed
    Question:
Does it make sense to upgrade to Server 2025
    or am I crazy

    New features and improvements 2025
SMB over QUIC — secure SMB without VPN (already in 2022, but improved in 2025).
Secured-core server — hardware security: TPM 2.0, HVCI, etc.
Improved integration of Azure Arc and Hybrid Services.
New kernel based on Windows 11 23H2.
Support for new hardware and architectures (including ARM64, Intel E/P cores, etc.).
    Improved Hyper-V and virtualization performance.
    Built-in supported OpenSSH (v9+).
Possibility of assembly via Windows Update for Business.

Server 2022: mainstream support until October 2026, extended — until 2031.
Server 2025: after the release (fall 2024) there will be 5+5 years of support.

Want it, but if everything works in 2022?

These are updates for China - extract from the pdf in the download:

China Type Approval (CTA) is the regulatory certification required for all cellular devices shipping in China. Devices preinstalled with Windows and equipped with a mobile broadband module must obtain CTA certification before distribution into China. The requirements are currently optional for Wi-Fi only models.

The requirements are continuously evolving. We closely track the requirement changes and proactively seek to incorporate necessary solutions into Windows.

Microsoft is planning to release an updated version of the Widgets app for Windows devices to MOO-SOC by May 1, 2025. The updated version of the Widgets app includes changes to comply with CTA requirements. The updated app is required to obtain CTA certification for devices that have a mobile broadband module and are distributed in China but can be applied to Windows devices that ship to other countries. The part number for the OPK supplement is X24-06371 - Win 11 24H2 64/Arm64 OPK Inbox Apps Widgets CTA Fix (May2025).

    @vladnil

I find that networking on 2022 is much better than 2025 especially with FTP protocol.
And 2025 still has many bugs. IMHO

The FTP protocol transmits a speed of 10 megabits, no more. I see 2022 works well.

I tried the solution you sent link for. I tried it in a vbox with w10 ent the upgrade went great and all files andsettings that were existng before was there after.
Though with a small part OCD i will stay on w10 until i get a new hd and will do a clean upgrade,

What? FTP transfers as fast as your network allows. For very fast network connections, the transmit buffers must be enlarged, that's all. I can easily reach over 100 MegaBytes/second on a Gigabit connection (which has a theoretical max of 125 MegaBytes/second).

Nah, networking in 2025 is better, ships with better quic support. Also FTP is fine, I max it out.

Thanks abbodi I love your activator :)

Just out of curiosity what is the difference between the SW_DVD9*.iso and the en-us_windows_server_2025_x64_dvd*.iso?
