Great, but apart from being PoC, it does not really make any difference to anything, does it? Like installing some application that insists on GUI? sebus
Not sure about that installing issues... I just wanted to take a look into Server RS3, than I saw the sice of the WiM anf thought..."thats small". - After Install I saw: this is core... - where is the GUI. I read a little in the net and many complained about the missing GUI and than just began the PoC (for "fun"). To be bloody honest: I didn't think it through, there is nearly no need for this PoC. But I always wanted to test if I can port client features to server, so this is some accomplishment to this. The PoC also willl provide me with some more info (while compare) what MS thinks is "Core" and what isn't (to may build a highly customized version of an client edition)
Which packages needed to make server core, have gui ? control.exe (c panel) is in Microsoft-Windows-Client-Features-Package-AutoMerged-shell package how to add gui winlogon
