(most likely) after they run their pilot or poc they will decline the idea to a dark stank place in the basement next to the mop room and a pair of old sneakers. Same story with practically all companies thinking they will save a buck and get away from BillyG. The time and energy spent on getting their workforce switched over and understanding how to use Linux will make them an unFortunate -500 lol
I need this one please: tr_windows_server_2016_technical_preview_4_x64_dvd_7258323.iso Thank you in advance
Agree 150%. Linux is still a Frankenstein and the men hours you will end up paying does not grant it. If you told me Linux is one and only one, but all different distros are not the same,so by bother

can you take this useless x86 bulls**t somewhere else? its been 2 pages now! Even if there is x86 for something its 2016... we have more then 4gb of ram now... i keep checking if someone has discoved somthing cool like if there is any of the win10 spyware in 2016, if the remoteFX opengl RDP works for gaming (it does in tp4, i dun this ), and if anyone has found a actuall use for nanoserver... or installed something stupid into it like exchange.
Son, you should focus on problems rather than the magic build numbers. The world is still plenty of professional solutions based on W 3.11 or even on Dos alone. A company where I worked still has some packaging lines powered by an Apple II... A solution is a solution, if solves a problem, being worried by the build number or the architecture is almost always pointless.
sorry all i needed to read was the topic title its "DISCUSSION: Windows Server 2016 (Technical Preview)" didn't mention x86 nor whatever your dragging in now... apple 2 and dos?
Now, speaking solely about "Windows Server 2016 (Technical Preview)", it appears, that , unlike both available TP3's (10514 & 10537), TP4 (10586 aka 1511) doesn't find SLIC2.3 to be tasty enough , lol. To be more exact, "slmgr.vbs -dlv" gives some weird error number, known as service version mismatch, that's it.
Upgrading from server 2012 R2 to this puppy ley's see how that is gonna work out A bit slower I must say but maybe it will sort itself out I will see Ps activated without problems Nice !
