    @WebCracKer

You have at least TEN !!! mounted images and are trying to remove an update ? ........... not an optional feature . On a system with russian and english language packs ?

Why ? What are you trying to achieve ?

Why not just get a .wim without that language pack /update ?

    Hello,

I'm using the Dism++ utility to keep my Windows 2016 LTSB (x64) ISO updated.

I mounted the install.wim from vanilla (10.0.14393.0) and integrated updates into the same using Dism++ and then after it couldn't find any more updates, I saved the image file. Upon querying the saved image file I'm getting the following output

    Code:
    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:.\install.wim /Index:1

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.14393.4169

    Details for image : .\install.wim

    Index : 1
    Name : Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB
    Description : Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB

            en-US (Default)

    The operation completed successfully.
But, when I tried to update the same base image file using OSDBuilder, it gives the following output

    Code:
    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:F:\sources\install.wim /Index:1

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.14393.4169

Can someone help me understand as to why Dism++ cannot update the image beyond ServicePack Build 4583?

    Thanks.

PS: I'm just an enthusiast and not a system admin so if you could please bear with any instance of obvious ignorance, I shall be grateful.

The only thing Dism++ seems to be missing currently is updating the "wsusscn3.cab" and "wsusscn2.cab" files since these do not show recent updates from 2023-2024 but from 2020-2021
