Eventually that was the only solution. Used a W11 pro machine which had no issues. Thanks.

 

DISMTools 0.6 Beta 2 has been released. The automatic updater will pick it up and install it for you. It will also make its way into WinGet.

Now that we're halfway from seeing DT 0.6 as a stable version, I encourage you to give your feedback

It should. I tested the program with 24H2 images and installations and had no problems. If you encounter them, however, please report feedback

The Windows ADK includes the deployment tools necessary for creating the ISO file. OSCDIMG is one of those tools, and is required

 

The UI has seen a minor refactor for the next preview release of DISMTools 0.6. Say goodbye to the old project view used by default in DISMTools versions from 0.1 to 0.3.3:

Because of this refactor, I encourage you to test the changes to see if something is wrong as part of the latest nightly installers from the "dt_pre_24102_design_refactor" branch that will come out shortly

This new GUI introduces the ability to restart manually. Expect this functionality in the latest nightly installers and (probably) on Update 2 of DISMTools 0.5.1

 

Development of DISMTools 0.5.1 Update 2 has started. This release is expected to come out the same day as Preview 5 of version 0.6 is released (October 26)

 

I need your help again, with the same thing - program exceptions. The issue where people submit the template as issues has not improved, and I'm starting to get tired.

What I do know is that there's a problem with the UI itself. I want your feedback on the design of the window, from a regular user point of view. What is hard to understand? What can be improved? Please let me know. For reference, here's the dialog in the form editor:

Do you plan to integrate very pratical configuration settings like Dism++ one day which is unfortunately no longer updated and which also made the images smaller thanks to CBS-powered ?

@Acideb135, what stuff from Dism++ would you like to see in DT? I'll see if I can implement them

 

I would like create wim file from on/off line windows. A cleanup function to purge hard to remove junk from on and off line windows. Removal of pending updates, like a bios update pending reboot. Not sure if already present, but those are what I use in Dism++.

 

I use Dism++ to export wim from running, preconfigured system and use to replace install.wim on usb windows installer. Couple things to fix, like setup cant find EULA, and adding unattended.XML, but uses windows setup to create a fresh clone of an existing pc. Might not be proper, but works even on 24h2.
