I think ms just going with the long term release routine of Linux They mightily change it from 3 to 2 to every LTR but ltsb didn't come with edge or inbox apps, this version will be same as enterprise with 5 + 5 years support to help not big enterprises avoid installing new os every year
I thought that future Enterprise LTSB(LTSC) and Server would be synced like LTSB 2016 and Server 2016.
It's not released, it will be released in september/october 2018. The C stands for Channel. Only a name change.
nope you are wrong. there is enterprise ltsb and enterpriseS ltsb.... S has no store. if "%edition%" == "Enterprise" goto if "%edition%" == "EnterpriseS" goto if "%edition%" == "Professional" goto if "%edition%" == "Home" goto if "%edition%" == "Education" goto if "%edition%" == "Core" goto these are the editions of windows 10. directly from microsoft. and i have their iso. they are all different S version doesnt have store inside
LTSB has no store, the enterpriseS is the sku flag for LTSB. There is only enterpriseS (LTSB) and enterpriseSN (LTSB N): Code: Image Index: 1 ------------------- Name: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Description: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Flags: EnterpriseS Files: 84556 Folders: 17307 Expanded Size: 11559 MB Code: [01] 7/16/2016 en-US x64 10.0.14393.0 Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB | EnterpriseS For LTSB N: Code: Image Index: 1 ------------------- Name: Windows 10 Enterprise N 2016 LTSB Description: Windows 10 Enterprise N 2016 LTSB Flags: EnterpriseSN Files: 83273 Folders: 17063 Expanded Size: 11089 MB Code: [01] 7/16/2016 en-US x64 10.0.14393.0 Windows 10 Enterprise N 2016 LTSB | EnterpriseSN You're mixing normal Enterprise and EnterpriseS (=LTSB) The only change will be new features and that the 2018 edition will be called LTSC instead of LTSB.
Should be done and leaked before the fall for beta testers if this is a business update. Who is guessing. Regards
