    @dabour
    That's why I asked if you solved the problem, that you were given misleading information.
    No, it is in no way related to Visual C ++ Redistributables.
    Your Windows is just damaged and we don't know why.
    You have not provided any information.
    Options:
    • something went wrong during the upgrade;
    • you tried to upgrade not in order to Windows
    • the original upgrade files were damaged.
    To fix this, it is recommended to download a brand new .iso / .esd and do a Reset of my Windows, preserving only personal files (settings and apps are not recommended to be preserved as there may also be problems).
    Whether or not you have any of the Visual C ++ Redistributables installed, you must have such files on your computer and they must be registered.
    Code:
    Location:
    ------------------------------------------------
    mfc140.dll
    "C:\Windows\System32\mfc140.dll"    5.35 MB
    "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mfc140.dll"    4.60 MB

    There is an excessive blank character between path and filename.

    @kaljukass
    Thank you for helping me,
    I definitely do not want to give misleading info as I wanted this issue to be solved, I did the upgrade from an ISO downloaded from Microsoft.
    The two files you mentioned are there with the correct digital signature, but the sizes are different they are 5.488 MB and 4.715 MB respectivly.
    The fact here that I do not face any issue with either Windows or any installed application. I accidentally discovered this issue while trying to install a news software, after the installation finished the application will not open and gave the first error.

    @luzea
    I made two restarts after each installation and I got this error after the second restart.

    @Carlos Detweiller
    Appreciate your help, I did took the extra space out and re-run, that through me back to the first error message.

    Which part of the error message is not clear?
    mfc140.dll cannot and do not need to be registered, none of VC++ runtimes files need registration

    Thank you for you answer @abbodi1406
    I did not know that, as I'm not a specialist, it was in many sites that I visited looking for a solution to register dll files after copying new once.

    I made sure the file is there in "system32" but when Trying to install Wordperfect, it completes the installation and then will not open with this error:
