the link for HewlettTattoo_AMI8.iso on the 4shared site is dead. I'll see if I can find a new one and will mention it later on
Any advice on getting this ISO written to a USB stick with Rufus? Using the latest 3.13.1730 (at the time of writing) and it says the ISO is non-bootable, or uses a boot or compression method that is not supported by Rufus... the other thread with a USB supported version loops back to this thread and says to use Rufus. Thanks
LOL @Hoppyah @Liebo the iso boot sector is a 1.44MB win98 image !!! this boot image include the whole tools set (files) for bios patch. the files you see on the cd are not the main patch part !!! Rufus is absolutly the wrong tool to create a bootable USB stick for bios patch for a safe bios patch you must - format the USB fat or fat32 - extract the boot sector (1.44MB win98 floppy image) from the iso - make the USB bootable (using the IO.sys from the 1.44MB win98 floppy image - highly recomended) - copy the files from the 1.44MB win98 floppy image to the USB - analyze the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT and port them by the way to use the USB stick (eg do not use Ramdrive, extract EBD.CAB to the USB manual, etc) Your questions and answers show only that you absolutely have no idea about the matter. I urgently recommend you do not BIOS Patching - in case you dont know what you do - in case you are not able to understand and edit CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT otherwise you damage your PC / Labtop (black screen / non botable state )
Here is a link to Hewlett Tattoo_AMI8.iso that I have uploaded to my 4shared account: 4shared.com/web/directDownload/l6xDVvMLiq/B8-gUmU2.71196a7f4082b32539f52f0f2aa29ed2 If you have a SATA optical drive choose Compatible rather than Enhanced under SATA/IDE Configuration in the BIOS.
