I'm going to buy an iPad (perhaps 1st gen as it is cheap).
I want to use my iPad mainly for study. I need plenty of applications installed. But I'm not quite willing to pay.

I want to make a few things clear in order to persuade my mum to buy 1 for me:

Let say I'm going to install iWork for iPad.
Case 1 - If I downloaded a cracked iWork .ipa file, can I install it with iTunes? Do I need to JB or use Cydia AppSync?
Case 2 - If I downloaded iWork which is a copy of a paid one, can I install it with iTunes? Do I need to JB or use Cydia AppSync?
(e.g. my friend bought iWork, downloaded the .ipa and sent it to me)

Thank you for reading & answering,
