if a game is good i buy it but i try it before i buy it if the game sucks i just delete it , programmer's and the producers of a good game deserve to get paid for good work !

Depends.... I like playing on Consoles, like my series X, or PS5, normally I buy them. When a game is $70, I no longer buy from the store, I will shop around, wait 2 weeks after release and buy it used. If it's $60, I will buy it(from a store). I want to support the DEVs but, charging $70 is too much. I might as well pirate it because the devs do not get any money from me buying the USED console game. Be greedy and you get nothing and will like it.

Very old PC games, or retro console games, mostly pirated. Not paying Nintendo $10 a month to play NES or SNES games...most that I own physical.

Truth, piracy is too easy today. If I wanted a game for the PC, I could go on Steam and it's $60-70, and I could go on a XXXXXX.com site (not telling my private torrent site), and find a solid release and in about an hour, I could be playing the game for free. Most multi-player games, piracy is not an option so I buy them, ONLY if I must play (it needs to be really good).

Normally, if I pirate a game, I will play it for a little bit and I love it, I will buy it. I will admit, I would not buy it right away sometimes, I will wait till a really good sale comes up, or a used copy, and then I would buy it... Yes, I have picked up a game that I finished 3 years later.... but, I still did buy it...

    So, it really depends....

before steam i checked couple of pirated games, to see how they would perform (speed, fps...) compared to the original versions, it was only a curiosity, it was many years ago.

tbh yea, i always try to support the dev with buying the game but life as a student, specially in a 3rd world country isn't that ez, not proud of it but at least honest about it i guess

  10. I remember torrenting the sims 2 / 3 on slow internet more than a decade ago but I stopped completely, I feel like in general my passion for gaming died down.

First of all i used to do that. Infact i m doing it right now. muhuhuhahahahaa......
But i also purchased some good games. I can afford but this game simply doesn't work that way. Like in PC, any developer who created a game will indefinitely make another but with much more prettier graphics and with higher and better settings.
I think the Game Dept. in PC is the Dept that is progressing very fast. I mean faster release and better story and graphics. Those developers should also know that anyone who purchase a decent rig will not buy another rig just to play 1 or 2 games.Yeah!
So the only option is pirating. So if i use P2P then i make sure i seed it as much as possible simply to maintain the aspect ratio. The principle of seed little more than u downloaded.
But i definitely buy softwares which r good one. Sometimes expensive ones too.

I just hope i will not go to Hell bcoz of pirating.

I "acquire" far more movies and shows than I do games nowadays, but I consider piracy of games to be a 'try before you buy' or demo for games that don't have demos. If I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't, no harm done, and I can play past the two-hour mark of a Steam purchase without worrying about watching the clock.
