Does anyone know how to end the f.lux nightmare ?

    Yes I can backup all I want. But if I upgrade to a newer version of Windows with a clean install, doesn't that mean that I lose my installed applications.

    Correct me if I am wrong that means I lose my current state of my Windows Registry right ?

    I actually do backup, but its only of my boot drive using Macrium Reflect.

    Yes it is very strange. The program seems really benign but getting rid of its a pain.

    After removing all entries from my registry I see that I am not returning to the tinted screen. However, I see that there is some flickering from tinted to normal happening sometimes. Meaning I may not be completely free of this problem.

    Just letting anyone know. I have been running on integrated graphics from May 10th.

    Never had this issue.

    It seems f.lux does override the GPU BIOS in some way.
