Listen I mentioned it when I mention the Specs when I was Discussing crucial scanner not detecting amount of Maximium RAM and I do not need You to to tell me what the conversation was about
Here's the output of dmidecode: https:// www box com/s/wv6aoe6nf0ciud68rfvv It'd paste the important part, but I don't know which one is it... Of course, i'll find the donor BIOS file that matches the same chipset. Here is the current BIOS dump link, but it should be the same ROM as 1.07. https:// www dot box dot com/s/0ou6m5xjyrdmg4fl5860 Now it has occurred to me, I've flashed BIOS twice, once with file for INSYDE, ver 1.07, and another time with a file for KBC, ver 1.04. So there's 2 BIOS chips in my laptop? I can't find any info on this... Yeah, i've tried the magic key combo WIN + B with no results, no abnormal behavior or LEDs flashing, and no activity on the USB stick - it does have it's own LED to signal any activity. I'm gonna try now fn + B, if that fails, I'll at least prepare a bootable flash key with an autoexec.bat file to automatically flash the 1.07 revision... Thank You for Your help I'm starting to believe in miracles
This is what I was looking for Code: Handle 0x000C, DMI type 16, 15 bytes Physical Memory Array Location: System Board Or Motherboard Use: System Memory Error Correction Type: None Maximum Capacity: 4 GB Error Information Handle: Not Provided Number Of Devices: 4 It looks like the KBC BIOS is the Keyboard Controller BIOS.
Just because the chip can Control 4GB of RAM doesn't mean it can do that on your motherboard. The Electronics World is full of these neutering tricks. I used to sell Graphics cards that I converted from PC to Mac, by adding or removing some resistors. The Mac versions were much more expensive. (Why is this f**king editor capitalizing random Words? And how do I turn it off?)
