Just checking, I'm using the vista bootloader 3.0.1 I believe and I'm about to upgrade to SP1. However, if something messes up my install, I'd of course like to be able to go back to the way it was before quickly and easily. Does Vista's standard 'back up your computer' do a 100% full backup image? I mean, if I go back to the backup, does that include the exact way my bootloader was before and would that fix a messed up install? Thx!

Yes you can back up any partition (c:, d:...) or the whole disk.
It will include you loader as well.
To recover, boot to Vista installation DVD and enter the repair center.
If your back up is larger than one DVD provide the last DVD first, when you are asked to.
    Then everithing goes 1,2,3....:D
