For example when creating a .iso 6 months from now will it contain all the updated patches?
dont think so
unless they update already the iso to newest build
i guess they will do it when TH2 is ready
Even I had the same question
AFAIK M$ is going to Keep the ISO as RTM 10240 Build for free upgrades till 29 July 2016 and there after we can expect newer ISO's with updated RTM build.
Keep an eye on this post; Microsoft has already released an updated ESD. The Media Creation Tool is a mere frontend to download these ESDs.
Don't Know but I downloaded the x64 ISO on 15th Sep thinking that it would be 10240.16393.150909-1450 but its the same 10240.16384.150709-1700.
Has anyone using Media creation tool obtained the newer build?
The tool had updated products.xml on 24/9 to downloaded refreshed ESDs

The thread is about media creation tool, no one said anything about techbench isos
The digital signature of the new installler is "20 August 2015" but the iso from esd has more size (in pro x64 spanish: 3,25 gb - 3,89 gb).
When I delete this file (media creation tool) put that the version is: 10.0.10240.16480
I just used the Media Creation tool last night to download the ISO hoping that it would download a new ISO but it installed the same old build 10240
This means the Answer to the Question is No the Media Creation Tool is not integrating updates?
If so then what about the refresh ESD ??
Hey J, if I'm not mistaken win is still 240, and only the rest of the lab number changes until a major release changes the build. You can see updates to the build by the secondary number. 10249 16384, if the 16384 is not this, then the ISO reflects the updates added to the ISO.
No it just means that the build has not been upgraded.
Did J-Lawrence received 10240.16393.150909-1450 - using Media creation tool ?
How about when you download an ISO with the Media Creation tool? How do you know what build you are getting without installing it?
Easy-not-conclusive-way, check sources\setup.exe version
Just downloaded the Windows 10 Pro ISO using the Media Creation Tool again.
Previous size was 3.10GB, this new ISO is 3.26GB! So I guess this should be a newer build.
Formatting right now.
Please Confirm if you got a newer Build !! I am also planning to download the newer ISO.
