Does Windows 8.1 Embedded Industry Pro get updates?

@mehmetalat Windows 8.1 Embedded Industry Pro is a fine OS. It gets same updates as W8.1 Pro at the same time.

In my experience it boots faster then normal Pro. All programs that i use work on IndPro as expected.

No, it's like regular Pro (with extra features but some restrictions)

 

end of life and support are january 2023 for regular windows 8.1 ,

for windows 8.1 embedded end of support are july 2023

 

the difference between embedded & normal 8.1 versions in terms of support timelines isn't much

 

Would you please list those restrictions regarding Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro With Update? I am exploring and familiarizing myself with this variant via NTLite, registry tweaking pack, and other NTLite presets. My aim is to make it my daily driver with networking enabled, and NOT "airgabbed." Much VMware testing, and knowing the restrictions would be helpful.

well in my humble opinion, you can simplify things using MSMG Toolikit v8.8 and you will be happy you can be sure ...
