"Ever since I first tried an OpenSUSE installation 25 years ago, I’ve always had the same question:

Why is it so impossible to just turn on a desktop computer, and have the first thing that eventually appears on the screen be the simple question: "Which of your two bootable SSDs would you like to boot today? Windows or Linux?" Then I click on the one I want, and after a short while, I’m ready to go...

Why does this seem so difficult?
    Thank you for an explanation."

Do you need it to ask the question, or just a menu appear with either Windows or Linux?

Thank you for your answers... They are typical for answers in a Linux Forum. After all the years I have yet to get one answer that actually does answer the question asked in Linux forum....

Thank you, yes, refind is actually what I was looking for. But that "refind" is actually a usable software, and not just sort of the order to find something again, would have been a helpful answer. If would have known what refind is, I would not have asked...
Linux Forums are ALWAYS a waste of time.
