Yes, although I have only tested it so far with one specific USB hard drive setup and have not tested any other drives or USB sticks or anything like that. I formatted mine via the UI and not through command line option. At the moment, I don't have another drive that I can test this command on.
Ok just asking: So if i were to format a PCI-Express SSD like Samsung's SM951 NVMe as ReFS, can i install windows onto it then ?
I'm on insider build 17115.1.amd64fre.rs4_release.180302-1642 and I have a G drive ReFS 2 TB if I go back to 1709 build My ReFS becomes RAW and is not reconised by windows ! If I put back build 1803 the ReFS disk is back ! any suggestions Maybe @moderate ?
Is there a working package for RS4 (1803) that anyone is aware of yet? I have some previous ReFS volumes which were formatted in earlier Windows 10 Pro builds prior to Microsoft removing the ReFS formatting ability. Those still work and the ReFS version, as we know, has updated with each Windows 10 release. However, I've got a shiny new backup solution in which I need to format as ReFS on Windows 10 64-bit RS4 (1803) Pro. If someone has a method to bring back ReFS formatting to Pro on 1803, please let me know. Thank you for your time.
