When is Beta available? My 12.04 is full of garbage... Java won't work, won't uninstall, won't upgrade and so many things are not functioning...
Thanx, haven't see that! Let's hope 12.10 is better and Java for Ubuntu is sorted out in the meantime...
And faiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiil again: 12.10 got released and they say that Ubiquity has got support for full disk encryption and LVM. And, as in the last betas, you CAN NOT manually create LVM + encryption. It's strange. Fedora and CENTOS fully and easily support LVM + encryption. Cannonical announces the feature and does not work. And because their super cool Ubiquity supports that feature now, there are no more alternate install medias. Do you guys TEST your releases? I guess not. But hey, it took them TWO YEARS to find out that an error in grub is related to one or two missing font files maybe they can fix this in the next two years. As soon as my 12.04 goes to hell I switch to OpenSuse for good this time. And I forgot: All packages install without errors. Just what I need.
That hurts, since I'm one of the community testers...... Well at least 12.10 is better than 12.04. And 13.04 will be better!!!
In my opinion Ubuntu will be better without Unity or if Unity remain they must let people to move that dock from left part of screen!
Canonical has committed to release Ubuntu every 6 months which always falls on April and October. You can find this info from their version itself. Eg: 12.10 Here, 12 indicates the year and 10 indicates month (October) So, next versions will be 13.04, 13.10 etc......
Hehe, I know that - but remember the fiasco with 10.10.10? So, I am asking the beta tester what is cooking... The reason being, I have to re-do my PC. So, iGolaware, while I wait for 13.04?
